Wall Quote

Wall Quote

When redoing my room, I had this giant, empty wall that I wanted to fill with something purposeful and eye-catching. I knew I was going to hang the ruler that I made with my Cricut on this wall, and I wanted a cute background for pictures. A giant quote for the win!

For the ruler, I bought a 6 foot x 7 inch piece of pine wood. You can stain it any color you prefer, but I kept mine natural. Then, I designed the ruler marks and numbers using my Cricut and cut them on permanent matte black vinyl. Here is the link to the ruler design on Cricut Design Space. I laid a measuring tape next to the wood and placed the lines at every inch and the numbers at every foot. I started at 6 inches and ended at 6 1/2 feet so that I could mount it 6 inches off the ground on the wall. That's all there is to it!

For the wall quote, I used black card stock and my Cricut to cut out my favorite saying. Here is the link to the quote design on Cricut Design Space if you want to make it in your classroom! After it is cut out, I used a level, a yardstick, and a pencil to mark where I wanted the words to be. Then, I stapled them up!! The entire design is about 3 feet x 4 feet. Tip: color the staples black with a sharpie before stapling and you won't even see them!

My Affirmation Station is from A Touch of Class Teaching on Teachers Pay Teachers. Her Boho Rainbow bundle is incredible and what I've used throughout my entire classroom. My mirror is from Target and is the best deal I have found! Yet again, the spotted contact paper on my door is from the Dollar Spot. This one here is super similar and you get a ton more product than the Dollar Spot one!
