Hi!! My name is Marissa Miller, and I am so excited to have you join this little community of mine! I am a 3rd-grade teacher who loves DIY projects, crafting, decorating and design, fashion, and traveling. Pretty basic, one may say, but it's the truth! I was born and raised in sunny San Diego (pictured on the left), and I plan to live here forever!! Why would anyone leave somewhere this beautiful?!

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. When I was little, I set up a school in my garage and forced all my cousins to be my students (they were so kind to play along!). My parents even bought me an overhead projector at one point; I was very invested in this career path. The funny thing was that I absolutely hated school growing up. I cried on every first day of school that I can remember. But, I had a few teachers that changed my life forever. They made learning SO fun. They took the time to truly form a relationship with me that communicated they cared about my personal, emotional, and academic wellbeing. I knew that I needed to be "that teacher" for someone else. Teaching is not a career, it's a calling. I know that every teacher is so incredibly passionate about what they do. That is what this is all about: forming a community of passionate educators that support each other and build life-long friendships. So, thank you for being a part of my support system; I cannot wait to be a part of yours!
